The public is invited to a free lecture by Dr. Elizabeth George at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the Penn National Inn Meeting Room. Participants will learn how to take on healthy eating habits and improve their overall health.
Healthy Eating Adventure creates an environment that makes the habit change easier and fun – in 28 days. During the kick-off evening participants can enjoy great tasting food and an introductory lecture by Dr. Elizabeth George, who provides the knowledge in an easy and humorous way to motivate change (details available at www.healthyeatingadventure.org)
The 28-day Adventure provides a coach, a kitchen makeover lecture and weekly “eat and learn” potlucks that surround participants with a community of people who are also changing their eating habits. The first pot luck is an opportunity to see and taste all the dishes that are possible, and talk with others making the same effort to learn new shopping, cooking and eating habits.
RSVP required for the meal, which is $15, can be made on line (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/healthy-eating-adventure-tickets-40888291982?aff=ehomecard) or by calling 717-352-3046.
